Mock Up Music Video
In order to demonstrate my understanding of the codes and conventions music videos, especially within the genre of indie music which I have focused my research on, I have decided to create a shot for shot remake of the first minute of Swim Deep's video for their single Honey. Through making this shot for shot remake I will provide myself with an early idea on what the production stage of creating a music video will be like. This early experience of recreating part of an existing music video will allow me to explore how I will need to use equipment such as lights and cameras, as well as give me an idea of the level of planning that will be required to successfully complete this process including the number of individual shots I will need to plan through storyboards.
